PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA FLASH CARD ABJAD SEBAGAI SARANA MEMBACA PERMULAAN USIA 4-5 TAHUN

This study aims to develop learning media in the form of alphabet flash cards as a means of early reading for children aged 4-5 years at PAUD Melati Putih. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model consisting of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The analysis stage is carried out to identify media needs that are appropriate to the characteristics of early childhood development. In the design stage, the media is designed using the Canva application by considering visual aspects, readability, and appeal. The development stage includes the creation of the initial product, validation by material experts and media experts, and revisions based on validator input. Media trials were carried out on a limited basis with teachers and group A students aged 4-5 years. The validation results showed that the alphabet flash card media obtained an average percentage of 91% from material experts and media experts, which is included in the very valid category. The practicality test by teachers showed a percentage of 92%, which is classified as very practical. Responses from students showed a percentage of 91%, with a very positive value. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the developed alphabet flashcards are suitable for use as an alternative for early reading instruction for young children. This product has the potential to increase children's interest in learning and basic literacy skills in early childhood education institutions.
