Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) at TK Anak Ceria, identify factors that support or hinder the process, and evaluate its impact on educational service quality. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied, using data from observations, interviews, questionnaires, document analysis, focus group discussions (FGD), and extracurricular activity reviews. The results show that SBM is carried out through a participatory approach, with the involvement of the principal, teachers, and some parents in school management and decision-making. Supporting factors include transparent leadership, teacher participation in planning, and a conducive learning environment. Barriers identified are limited educational tools, inadequate teacher training, and low parental involvement in school program design. Overall, SBM contributes positively to improving education quality, though improvements are still needed in extracurricular programs, parental engagement, and teacher development. These findings can serve as a useful reference for schools, committees, and policymakers in enhancing SBM practices for early childhood education.
