ANALISIS PERMAINAN PLASTISIN DALAM MENSTIMULASI MOTORIK HALUS USIA 4-5 TAHUN DI PAUD ATTOYIBAH

This study aims to analyze the implementation of playdough play in stimulating the fine motor development of children aged 4–5 years at Attoyibah Preschool. Fine motor skills are skills related to the coordination of small muscles, particularly the hands and fingers, which are essential in supporting children's readiness to write and perform daily activities. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study subjects consisted of classroom teachers and children aged 4–5 years. Observations showed that before the playdough play, some children still had difficulty grasping, twisting, and forming simple objects. However, after regular play with playdough, there was an improvement in fine motor skills, such as pinching, pressing, rolling, and forming various simple models. Interviews with teachers revealed that children appeared more focused, creative, and motivated in participating in learning. Documentation supported the visible improvement in children's work during the learning process. Thus, it can be concluded that playdough play is effective in stimulating the fine motor skills of children aged 4–5 years at Attoyibah Preschool.
