This study aims to describe the implementation of the traditional game engklek on the gross motor development of children aged 5–6 years at PAUD Bina Kasih, Pamarayan District. The engklek game was chosen because it involves physical activities that engage large muscles, such as jumping, balancing, and throwing. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation.The findings reveal that regular and structured implementation of the engklek game significantly improves children's gross motor skills, including body balance, leg muscle strength, and movement coordination. Beyond physical benefits, this game also positively impacts children's social attitudes, such as discipline, self-confidence, and cooperation. These findings support gross motor development theories proposed by Ozmun, WHO, and Santrock. Therefore, the traditional engklek game can be considered an enjoyable, educational, and culturally contextual learning method in early childhood education.
