IMPLEMENTASI PERMAINAN ENGKLEK DALAM MENINGKATKAN MOTORIK KASAR ANAK USIA 4-5 TAHUN DI KOBER NURUL HIDAYAH

Gross motor skills are an important aspect of early childhood development, encompassing the ability to move large muscles such as the legs and arms, as well as overall body coordination. This study aims to describe the implementation of the traditional game of engklek in improving the gross motor skills of children aged 4-5 years in Kober Nurul Hidayah. The research method used was a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were class teachers and children aged 4-5 years. The results showed that engklek games were routinely implemented in outdoor learning activities.The children showed high enthusiasm in participating in this game. From the results of observations and interviews, it was known that engklek games can increase leg muscle strength, train body balance, and improve children's motor coordination. Children learned to jump on one foot (ingkling), maintain balance when taking a gacuk, and understand the concept of turns and the rules of play. In addition to motor aspects, this game also contributes to building children's social interaction, self-confidence, and sportsmanship. Thus, the implementation of hopscotch has been proven effective in developing gross motor skills in early childhood.
