PENERAPAN METODE BERMAIN PUZZLE UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PERKEMBANGAN KOGNITIF ANAK USIA 4-5 TAHUN DI PAUD NURUL QUR’AN

This research aims to determine the application of the puzzle playing method in enhancing the cognitive development of children aged 4-5 years. The background of this research is the importance of stimulation in early childhood, especially in the cognitive aspect, so that children can develop thinking skills, problem-solving, and recognize shapes and patterns. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with the subjects being children from group A in Nurul Quran Kindergarten. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the application of the puzzle playing method can provide significant stimulation to children's cognitive development. Children appear to be more capable of recognizing shapes, colors, and patterns, as well as showing improvements in concentration, memory, and the ability to solve simple problems. In addition, puzzle playing activities also foster children's self-confidence and independence in completing tasks. Thus, it can be concluded that the puzzle playing method is one of the effective alternatives in improving the cognitive development of early childhood, especially children aged 4-5 years. The implications of this research are expected to provide input for early childhood educators to better utilize educational game media as a fun and beneficial learning tool.
