This study aims to examine the effect of block play on the self-regulation abilities of children aged 5–6 years at TK Al Manar, Serang City. Self-regulation refers to a child's ability to manage emotions, attention, and behavior independently across various situations. Block play is a constructive type of activity that can stimulate the development of children’s socio-emotional skills. The method employed in this research is a quasi-experimental design, using a non-equivalent control group design with two groups: experimental and control. Each group consisted of 7 children. The experimental group was given structured block play sessions, while the control group received conventional learning activities. The research instrument included observation sheets with indicators such as turn-taking, frustration management, rule-following, focus, and cooperation. The results showed a significant improvement in the experimental group after the intervention. The average self-regulation score increased from 55.1 to a higher level post-intervention. Children who engaged in block play showed better patience, task completion, and adherence to rules. In conclusion, block play has a significant positive impact on enhancing self-regulation in early childhood. This study recommends integrating structured block play into early childhood education programs to foster optimal socio-emotional development
