Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of the storytelling method in addressing the behavior of not wanting to share in children at Mutmainah Early Childhood Education (PAUD). The storytelling method was chosen as an approach that can convey social values in an interesting and easily understood way for children. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and participant observation. The research subjects consisted of 1 teacher, 12 parents, and 12 children involved in the storytelling session. The results showed that 5 children showed unwillingness to share. After the storytelling method was implemented in learning activities, namely stories containing social values, especially the value of sharing, then observed and assessed the development of children's behavior. After the teacher told the story, the children showed attitudes and responses to sharing activities and showed changes in their behavior. The storytelling method not only increased children's understanding of the importance of sharing but also created an atmosphere that supported positive social interactions. Children showed significant behavioral changes, with more participation in sharing activities after listening to the story. This study concludes that the storytelling method is an effective strategy in addressing the behavior of not wanting to share and can be integrated into the PAUD curriculum to support children's social development
