However, its narrative invites adult reflections on love, responsibility, loneliness, and existentialism, thereby creating a rich cultural dialogue between childhood imagination and mature contemplation. This study analyzes five key illustrations—the boa constrictor swallowing an elephant, the sheep in a box, the rose, the prince’s planet, and the fox—through Roland Barthes’ visual semiotics and Stuart Hall’s theory of cultural representation. Employing a qualitative method based on visual and multimodal content analysis, the research examines visual signs, text-image relations, and cultural meanings within the historical context of World War II, as well as their relevance to art education in Indonesia. The findings reveal that the illustrations embody the spontaneity and aesthetic sensitivity of children, while the narrative text deepens the meaning with philosophical insights, resulting in a dynamic cultural negotiation between child and adult perspectives. In the Indonesian context, this analysis holds significance for the Merdeka Curriculum, particularly in arts and cultural education, with practical implications such as redrawing the illustrations, discussing symbolism, or writing reflective narratives to foster creativity, visual literacy, and emotional intelligence among elementary school students. The limitation of this study lies in its focus on five illustrations without empirical audience data or analysis of local adaptations. Future research could explore Indonesian students’ reception of these illustrations or adaptations of the work within local culture, such as translations or theatrical performances. This study contributes to the fields of children’s literature, visual culture, and art education in Indonesia, offering an analytical model applicable to other works of children’s literature.
2025-08-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Muhammad Surya Gumilanghttps://jas.lppmbinabangsa.ac.id/index.php/home/article/view/119MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MOTORIK HALUS ANAK MELALUI KEGIATAN KOLASE DENGAN BAHAN ALAM DI TK LABSCHOOL BANI SALEH2025-09-11T12:49:01+00:00Widiastuti Widiastutiwidiastuti@ubs.ac.idIlham jayailhamjaya@ubs.ac.idNajma Ilmi Hulwannjmaa.il78@gmail.com
This study aims to improve fine motor skills of early childhood through collage activities using natural materials at TK Labschool Bani Saleh. This study aims to describe the implementation of the traditional game of engklek in improving the gross motor skills of children aged 4-5 years in Kober Nurul Hidayah. The research method used was a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were class teachers and children aged 4-5 years. The results showed that engklek games were routinely implemented in outdoor learning activities. The children showed high enthusiasm in participating in this game. From the results of observations and interviews, it was known that engklek games can increase leg muscle strength, train body balance, and improve children's motor coordination. Children learned to jump on one foot (ingkling), maintain balance when taking a gacuk, and understand the concept of turns and the rules of play. In addition to motor aspects, this game also contributes to building children's social interaction, self-confidence, and sportsmanship. Thus, the implementation of hopscotch has been proven effective in developing gross motor skills in early childhood.
2025-08-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Chamsanah, Siti Kholifah, Muthia Sari, Umalihayati, Beni Junedihttps://jas.lppmbinabangsa.ac.id/index.php/home/article/view/118PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TERHADAP KREATIVITAS DAN KEMANDIRIAN BELAJAR ANAK USIA DINI2025-09-11T12:48:59+00:00Asmayawati Asmayawati asmawati07@gmail.com
This study aims to analyze the effect of the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on creativity and learning independence in early childhood. The method used is an experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of 40 children aged 5–6 years who were divided into an experimental group (using AI-based learning media) and a control group (using conventional methods). The research instruments included a creativity test, an observation sheet for learning independence, and documentation of children's activities. Data analysis was carried out using paired sample t-tests and independent sample t-tests using SPSS 25. The results showed that there were significant differences between the experimental and control groups. The experimental group experienced an increase in the average creativity score from 54.30 to 78.25, while the control group increased from 53.85 to 65.40. In the aspect of learning independence, the experimental group increased from an average of 55.10 to 80.15, while the control group only reached 66.80. The results of the t-test showed a significance value of p <0.05, which means that the use of AI has a positive effect on increasing creativity and learning independence in early childhood. This research recommends the integration of AI technology into early childhood learning as an innovative tool to foster creativity and foster independent learning from an early age.
2025-08-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Asmayawati
